Fall

I love fall - the changing leaves, the cool weather, the start of football...this fall has been really busy but we have has some time to get in some fun family activities.   One of my favorite fall activities is apple picking and this year, we went to Fishkill Farms with Grandma and Papa and Michael and Jasmine.
We went at the end of September, which was a bit early in the season so a lot of apple varieties were not ready yet but we still had a fun time.
One of the best parts of apple picking is climbing the trees - some of the best apples are out of reach and the boys love getting up there and finding them.  The boys were not the only ones this year that wanted to climb the trees!

We had a picnic lunch and had some races around the trees in the orchard and then picked some more apples.

While we were picking, we all ate a bunch of apples.  Ryan is missing a ton of teeth though so he had a much harder time than the rest of us eating them.
When we were done apple picking, we headed up to the main house where they had live music.   Following tradition, we all sat outside and had some apple cider and hot apple cider donuts and just relaxed before heading home
What a great day!

I love the picture of mom & Ryan in the tree, Michael & the boys, and the family picture at the end! Looks like a great day! Can't wait for the girls to be a part of this family tradition!
